  I'm not one to leave reviews but I feel so disappointed with my visit here tonight.
  I had read good reviews online that this place was good at catering for vegans but this was not my experience at all and was advised to have a chicken tikka for starters. I do feel as a restaurant staff should be trained and familiar with all dietary requirements as standard food hygiene practice.
  Anyway, that was the smallest issue of the night.
  Onto our food and the starters arrived 30minutes after ordering. The food was quite bland but we didn't complain and remained patient as it seemed they were busy on take away orders. We then waited 90minutes for our mains. We did not complain but would have appreciated if staff apologised or at least explained the situation. The food was mediocre, curry was okay but a little bland. After finishing our food I was a bit shocked to be told there was a 50p charge for a bloody takeaway box and thought that was the least we deserved after patiently waiting for so long!
  I totally understand delays on food when kitchens are busy but there were only a few tables taken and how it was dealt with was very poor.
  During this wait for our food on the table behind us was a gentleman who was allowed in whilst heavily intoxicated. He stumbled into the restaurant and was shown to his seat and I believe he was actually sold some alcohol! This gentleman then smashed a pint glass, vomited and passed out obstructing the toilet doors. Customers meanwhile were concerned and trying to help him whilst staff did absolutely nothing. We urged them to eventually phone for an ambulance. They started the call and within seconds handed the phone to my friend and said "here you deal with it". To add to events the emergency services were hopeless and unhelpful. This gentleman then began to be aggressive and threatening towards customers whilst staff continued on with work as if nothing had happened and let the customers deal with it. After much convincing the staff finally stopped ignoring the situation and phoned the police. Shortly after we left so I am not sure what happened later on.
  My worry was that the gentleman potentially had health issues and needed paramedics but was just left in the corner ignored. In future issues like this have to be dealt with immediately.
  
  I do believe in giving places a second chance and would be open to visiting again in the future but I do believe customer service and even health and safety is a huge issue here. I will even remove my review if these things are improved on and future visits are a better experience.

  The Palm Tree used to be a decent establishment. However of late, the standard of service has dropped dramatically.
  
  I find the staff lack basic customer service skills. On our last collection visit they had forgot to include my side order. I called when I realised only to be told that I didn't order it!!!! Well, the side order was part of a set meal that I purchased (naan bread) so a good effort with that excuse.
  
  When I advised that the side order should of come with the set meal he then went on to say it wasn't his problem.......
  
  This is just one of many problems I've had with this resuraunt lately which include rude staff, cold food and deliveries taking an hour later than expected.
